LİPSİ
Early morning departure after breakfast for the tiny tranquil island of Lipsi far from the crowds of tourists. It is an idyllic little island, off the touristic track, and you will find the inhabitants very helpful and cheerful. There are just a few traditional villages and bays ideal for a quiet swim. Here you will find beautiful sandy beaches and translucent waters.
PATMOS
Next morning arrival in Skala harbor of Patmos. One of the description of Patmos is "The Jerusalem of the Aegean"; it is a place of pilgrimage for the Christians. It has been here that St. John the Theologian was exiled between 95 and 97 A.D. and was inspired to write the book of Revelation of Apocalypse. Scala, our port, is a popular spot at the base of a mountain crowned by the world heritage site of the 13th century majestic monastery of St. John the Divine and other sites of pilgrimage. The island monasteries are of great importance particularly for the Greek Orthodox Church and Christians. The heritage status means that the delightful villages are kept in characteristic traditional style. After visiting the monastery you should do some shopping. There are beautiful shops in the small streets of Skala. The evening you will spend in a small cove next to Skala.
KALYMNOS
Your gulet turns southwards for the famous spongediver island Kalymnos. Although its days of wealth as a major sponge fishing center are over, Kalymnos still proudly displays its long history in the sponge diving museum, its stately homes dating from that era and the magnificent new museum of ancient finds. There are many small bays and coves on the island which are well worth dropping an anchor in. The scenery is wild and dramatic with high rocky mountains sweeping down to the sea. It is very friendly and very greek. Vathi - for example - lies at the end of the deep fjord of Vathi. Or you stay in the bay of Telendos. There is a little bit of tourism, but it is worth being visited. There is every evening a spectacular sunset. It is charming little anchorage....
BODRUM (AQUARİUM)
Today the journey takes its way back to the turkish sea waters. On your way to Bodrum, you will take lunch and do a swimming break in the beautiful bay called "Aquarium" nearby Bodrum.
